Basic Principles of Safe Online Practices

The purpose of these classes is to teach the basics of safe Internet use. They are designed for younger participants and aim to:

  • Explain the concept of personal data and how to secure it
  • Discuss methods for creating secure passwords using mnemonics to aid memory.
  • Discussion on the appropriate use of online images and safe alternatives for sharing personal information.
  • Review issues related to social media, including guidelines for creating profiles, controlling access to content, setting privacy settings, and outlining the opportunities and risks of using phone apps.
  • Pointing out safe practices for using online resources and informing about available sources of help when encountering unsafe content.

Countering hate speech

The goal of the program is to provide a comprehensive understanding of online hate speech and peer cyberbullying. During our classes, we offer students:


  • Analyzing online behavior and consciously reviewing the information they share about themselves in the virtual world.
  • Raising awareness of the dangers of cyberbullying and online aggression, and educating individuals on how to protect their online image.

Mobile Security Essentials

The aim of the classes is to raise awareness among young people about the responsible use of cell phones and to promote safe practices related to screen devices. The focus is on:

  • Securing personal data and protecting privacy when using mobile devices.
  • Introducing psychosocial hygiene in the context of online peer interactions.
  • Discuss the practical aspects of securing a phone, such as safely storing data and securely logging into public networks.
  • Discussing the creative uses of smartphones and their usefulness in everyday life.
  • Consider putting your phone away for a while and setting rules for using it in social situations.

Our classes are designed to sensitize participants to protect both their devices and private data, emphasizing the importance of safe technology use and exploring alternative, secure ways to use screen devices.

Online Disinformation

The daily influx of vast amounts of information makes it challenging to distinguish between factual and fake content. As young people increasingly use the Internet as their primary source of information, it becomes crucial to teach them how to recognize genuine reports from artificially created ones. Together with young people, we aim to develop a critical approach to the materials they read as a tool for detecting disinformation. This fundamental skill helps avoid mistakes, prevents unconscious misinformation, and enables informed use of mass media.

Our class aims to introduce the phenomenon of ‘fake news’ through case studies. Participants will learn methods and tools for identifying fake news and receive tips for verifying visual materials, such as photos or videos, and news sources. We design the class so that participants will gain the ability to identify ‘fake news’ and develop a critical approach to the content they encounter.

Chat GPT Workshop

It is a language model trained on vast datasets to generate texts that sound human-written. Chat GPT can be used in many fields, such as customer service, content generation, and educational support. Our training includes:

  • Introduction to OpenAI and ChatGPT: Basics and Beyond
  • Understanding the ‘AI Onion’: An Introduction to AI and GenAI.
  • Understanding Neural Networks: How They Work
  • Understanding LLMs: What They Are and How They’re Created.
  • How LLMs works: tokens, prompt, context window, parameters

  • Bing Chat, also known as Microsoft Copilot, is an AI tool that can chat, respond, create content, and discover information. You can use it in Microsoft Edge or Chrome browsers.”
